Discover what life without alcohol can offer you.

What would your life look like if alcohol no longer played a part in it? Perhaps you would sleep better, have more energy, feel calmer, or simply wake up feeling good about the day ahead. Or maybe you’re just curious about what life without alcohol could look like.

Whatever brings you here, you’re welcome.

Why I chose a different path

On April 7, 2024, I decided to change my relationship with alcohol. I had spent years trying to cut back, setting rules for myself and hoping that this time would be different. Sometimes it worked for a while, but eventually I would fall back into familiar habits.
I began to realise that I wanted more from life. I wanted to feel healthier, happier and more balanced. I wanted better sleep, more energy, and the freedom to make choices without alcohol taking up so much space in my mind.
I wanted to feel more in control of my life, build deeper connections with others, and have the energy to do more of the things I love.

Choosing an alcohol-free lifestyle wasn’t just about giving something up. It was about making room for something better.

What can you gain from a 0.0 lifestyle?

The benefits will be different for everyone, but here are some things you may discover along the way:

  • Better sleep and more energy. Alcohol can interfere with sleep, even when it seems to help you fall asleep. Drinking less or not at all may help you wake up feeling more refreshed.

  • A clearer mind. Without hangovers or the mental back-and-forth about whether to drink, you may find it easier to concentrate and make decisions.

  • More emotional balance. Learning to deal with stress, boredom or difficult feelings without reaching for a drink can help you understand yourself better.

  • Greater self-trust. Keeping promises to yourself, one choice at a time, can strengthen your confidence and self-respect.

  • More time and freedom. Less planning around drinking, fewer lost mornings and more energy for the things that matter to you.

  • Deeper connections. Being more present with yourself and others can create space for more meaningful relationships.
New opportunities. When alcohol no longer takes centre stage, you may discover new interests, experiences and ways to enjoy yourself.

These changes don’t happen overnight, and an alcohol-free life isn’t automatically a perfect life. But it can create space to discover what makes you feel good, what matters to you, and what you want more of.

    Do I ever miss drinking?

Yes, sometimes. I can miss the buzz, the romantic idea of a glass of wine, or the temporary escape from my emotions. But I have also discovered that I can enjoy going out, dancing, singing and celebrating without alcohol being at the centre of it.

For me, the benefits of changing my relationship with alcohol outweigh what I miss. And the more I discover, the more I realise that this journey is about much more than drinking or not drinking. It’s about creating a life that feels good to live.
